Phenomenon with John Travolta. One time I happened to catch this movie aired on TV (nbc, abc, fox,.. I don't remember). I'd seen the moving many times before, BUT this televised version had extra scenes in it! There is a scene with Travolta and Duval at a farm. Duval asks Travolta to move a pile of wood with his mind. Travolta tries and fails. Then when they walk away, wood pile moves. Another scene had an extended talk between Travolta and best friend Nate Pope when Travolta escapes from hospital. There were a few other scenes I can't remember. This TV version I saw had to be a couple years ago at least. I STILL CANNOT find any information about these 'missing' minutes. The DVD released Feb. 2003 has no deleted scenes on it. I want this extended version badly. Anyone know anything about this?

It's very common practice for films to be padded with deleted footage for TV. It's also pretty rare that these extended scenes show up as an extra feature on DVD. I wouldn't hold my breath for a re-release of Phenomenon with extra footage.

I saw the movie in the theater, and I recall the scene with the wood pile.

Ya... there is a scene where a boy with food poisoning is in a tree house. John Travolta moves some planks of wood hiding the tree house. But that's not the scene I'm talking about. It was a scene with just Robert Duval and John Travolta.

It'd be nice if there was at least the 5 second scene from the trailer (with Spiner's character explaining the test results to another doc) available somwhere. It's so stupid when they cut the scenes from the trailer.

Ya... I know... But I'm sure there are some corporate execs that have full versions of this stuff... oh well..

Far and Away and Needful Things had TONS of new footage added when they aired on cable, TBS or USA i believe. Im talking new scenes, not extensions, hell, Needful Things had a totally new beginning.

I remember that, like a whole scene with the staff playing baseball with him and his friends i think.
