Terminator 2 - Which Version?
First off I aplogize for starting up another thread on Terminator 2. I didn't find a comparison thread, I searched, but couldn't find it. If anyone has a link to it, that'd be great too. Anyways, on with the question...
I'm thinking of picking up T2 on DVD but I'm not sure which version I should get. Ultimate or Extreme?
I don't have an HDTV yet but I imagine I'd get one when I'm older and when they're more common. From what I hear the Extreme edition has a better transfer, better sound, a new commentary, but less extras. Are the extras worth losing for the better transfer? Or would you think that the extras are good enough to go with the Ultimate. How's that new commentary by the way? Thanks for your help. Let me know what you think!

THE EXTREME EDITION dvd has a superior picture regardless if you have an HDtv or not. The transfer blows away all previous editions. As for the disc not being DTS, the Dolby Digital track rocks! There's no competition at all as the EXTREME EDTION is the DVD to get.

If you're planning on getting an HDTV anytime in the future, definately go with the Extreme Edition. You're right, extras aren't as good, but transfer is much better, as is the sound.
