Thoughts on The Rundown? - The movie formerly known as Helldorado

I havent found a trailer for this online yet, but a trailer aired in front of Bad Boys II. I think most of you would recognize the name of the movie as Helldorado, which has been changed a few times. For those who don't, the movie stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Sean William Scott, and Christopher Walken.

Anyway, caught the trailer in front of Bad Boys II and it seemed like an entertaining film, a mix between action and comedy. For those who saw the trailer, what do you think?

I had a hard time telling what the whole point of the movie was.

I saw the trailer on Access Hollywood the other night, and I too had difficulty trying to make sense of the "point", but you know what, I like the Rock, I like Sean William Scott, and I like the action/comedy mis-matched buddy flick when its done right, so I'm looking forward to it.

I'm gonna go see it for sure. The Rock is the closest thing we got to the next Arnold S... too bad he's soo well-spoken. It would work better if he had some messed up accent that made him difficult to understand.

Christopher Walken.
Rosario Dawson.

i'll probably catch a matinee. I enjoyed the Rock as a host on SNL*, so we'll see how this does..

*[Didn't see Scorpion King]

It is a very big wrestling sin to see any movie with the Rock in it. So I wont be watching it any time soon. Unless I hear it's very good.

There's a ton of hurriedly-put-together teaser trailers I've seen that I couldn't get any point or sense of story from - I'm sure a proper trailer will surface soon.

The scene in the trailer where they show a jeep fall into a stream....that was filmed not too far from my house...

....Funny, in reality, that stream is right next to a japanese cemetary.

looks as bad as s.w.a.t.. hint, when the plot of a movie doesn't show up until the end of the trailer that means it stinks.

Strange, I think both S.W.A.T. and The Rundown look interesting. I liked seeing the trailers for both of them for the first time before Bad Boys 2. But each to their own I guess.

Haven't seen the trailer, but slightly interested since parts were filmed here and it's directed by Peter Berg.

Did you see the small poster at the apple site? Wow, it's way too classy and cool-looking for a movie with lines such as "brown hair, face like a weasel". BTW, I think the film looks hysterical and Rosario Dawson reminds me of a less weird Angelina Jolie. Must see.

s.w.a.t. was a pretty good movie. Entertaining from beginning to end. Some parts were cheesy but overall it is one of the better movies of the summer. The cut I saw was pretty violent, I'm pretty sure they'll cut some scenes out since they're aiming for a pg 13. My long review is on the swat thread, which I posted a couple of months back, I'm too lazy to search for it. Here's my top 5 summer flicks for this year (so far). Take it for what it's worth.
1) Italian Job
2)T 3
3)SWAT
4)Bad Boys 2
5)Finding Nemo

Looks like the writer of The Rundown also wrote Basic and Darkness Falls. Well so much for this one being any good.

So trailers that give away the entire plot and several twists are on the other side of the coin?
