Anyone ever heard of this movie?
I was looking up stuff about The Crow and came across an imdb listing of a movie called Wings of the Crow that's supposed to be a '99 remake of The Crow but with a female lead. http://us.imdb.com/Title?0197104 I've never once even so much heard of this mentioned in passing before today.

Well, if it's a joke, it's on me. I can't find anything on this film except the cast, director, and that it's a remake of The Crow. I can't so much as find a single picture of this movie.

Looks like the main actress, Jamie Taylor, also goes by the name Faith Taylor, as seen here.

That page also shows that the film is Spanish, and goes by the name Alas Del Cuervo. Every search I do for that title, however, pops up sites in Spanish.

I did a search in google under the Spanish name and the only link actually related to the film was the one you posted, Tom Banjo.

Found something. http://abahb.crowfans.com/News/archives/feb00.html The picture, though, looks rather.... suspect. Anyhoo, I don't have RealPlayer so I can't view the trailer they link to.

Okay, I just watched the trailer. This has got to be some sort of sick joke. I didn't know if I was watching a trailer for a fanfilm or a porno-style parody. It's that bad. Thanks to that trailer, I'm no longer curious about this film.

know nothing about it. sorry. I did read some stuff the other day about all the deleted scenes from COA have 'supposedly' been aquired by someone that worked on the film. This person knew where the scenes went and cut a new version of the film that makes it quite a different(better) movie. The thing is, he is only offering copies for trade.
Sounds kinda bogus, but interesting nonetheless.

On a side note, there was a film another fan made that was supposedly much closer to the comic and was actually fairly decent.
Pressman told the kid (he was a high schooler at the time) that he had to stop distributing. The student would send you a VHS copy if you sent him three dollars for shipping costs. Not sure if the kid could have claimed Fair Use, but I don't blame him from backing down to Pressman's lawyers. Bummer.

I'm not sure if this is old news or not, but it seems they are considering a female lead for the next Crow movie.
Will THE CROW Fly Again?
Last year’s second CROW sequel, THE CROW: SALVATION wound up going direct-to-video, leaving fans wondering whether the film franchise had run its course. But Edward M. Pressman Productions still considers the property a viable one, thanks to interest generated by the comics, books, and television series. `We’re talking about turning one of our CROW novels into a movie, and we’re talking to a name director about doing a female Crow,` said a source at the company. `This is a director who could attract name talent, and for some reason he happens to like THE CROW.`
Whether this project gets off the ground or not, it seems likely that Rob Zombie’s proposed THE CROW: 2087 will not be a future installment in the series, although the plot may be recycled as a stand-alone film separate from the CROW franchise. `We still might do that—just use the script,` said the source. `It would probably work better in animation, because there’s a lot of weird stuff in it that would be hard to pull off unless you had a Tim Burton.`
