Hook: replacing Regular w/ Superbit???

Hey all,

Just wondering how many people are replacing their regular Hook disc with the Superbit version. I know that the regular doesn't have very many extras. I think trailers are the only thing.

Does it make sense?

Of course I've heard of Superbit.

Is this version bootleg? Legal? OFFICIAL?

Again...

There is an OFFICIAL release date.

So yes, it's official.

We wouldn't be posting about it if it weren't. This ain't Star Wars, ya know

Just FYI The Original Has:
Cast/Crew Bios, Theatrical Trailer, Production Notes

I don't know what the Superbit has

Superbits are usually stripped versions (i.e. no extras) but with lots of attention to picture and sound.

I agree. If there were any significant extras to be added, they'd put them on a second disc and call it Superbit Deluxe.

I know it was, it's nice, but the real poster is MUCH nicer.

The "real" poster, as you call it, was done by Drew Struzan who did many of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones posters as well.

I prefer this teaser poster. For once they changed the artwork on a Superbit release.

I don't think it looks like a bootleg at all. It looks like all the other Superbits out there. Maybe you got that idea from the bootlegging morons who put the "superbit" tag on anything they sell and create new artwork. But nothing about this spells "bootleg."

I have the original "Hook." Just wondering if I'm going to sell it.

Sweet cover, that poster is too cool for the movie. The dorky Drew poster is closer to the spirit of the film (MULTICOLORED FOOD FIGHTS!!!! RU-FI-O!!!!).

I have been thinking about picking this one up...

Here is Sony's website with the Superbit Hook:

http://www.sonypictures.com/homevide...396059269.html

Never bought the 1st Hook, I might pick this one up. I have the Superbit of Zorro (I always wanted the DVD, so when the Superbit came out, I jumped all over it) and really liked it. The sound and Video was amazing on Zorro, I hope Hook gets the same.

Sure is! Flick was good and a Superbit treatment should do it right.
