ooy...lol just when I get the deluxe edition...

This movie already has an incredibly high quality transfer and I wonder how much superbit can improve upon the look. Hurrah for DTS, perfect for a thundering war movie

The first one is 3 disk + 1 OST CD (limited editioin) and the other one is regular 3 disk edtion. There has been a rumor that the 3 commentaries which were inclued in the US Deluxe Edition will not be included in the Korean set. (not confirmed)

heh, I have the original release of BHD which came somewhere in 2002 and now they have just re-released BHD Deluxe Edition which I also bought. Even tho BHD is my favorite movie of all time, I dont need 3 BHD movies. Also, they already re-released 2 BHD in about in 1 year. Atleast wait 5 years then maybe re-release it.

I still dont know how they can improve BHD. It's already at it's finist.

We all knew this would be coming. I figure 6-12 mos. before Region 1 gets it. I too wonder if this movie - being grainy with so much movement in the picture - would benefit from a Superbit.

A DTS track should improve BHD further

OK on the site it says...

3 Disc + OST

Usually this means Original Sound Track. So does that mean it's 4 discs? That's pretty sweet.

DTS doesnt always mean better sound automatically. The sound and picture on the original BHD disc, and the new 3disc set are amazing. I just went out and got the single disc version for $12 since 2 discs of extras I would never watch doesnt excite me

Looks like they're using the U.S. Deluxe Edition outside cover for its inside cover, and the inside cover for its outside.

Sometimes, it's to test the market. If it does well there, they might release it here.

Other times, they may have done work that was supposed to go on the American disc but got dropped at the last second. They then put it on a foreign release.

Other times, a foreign disc will get a DTS track instead of the commentary, since most people wouldn't want the commentary in a language they don't understand. Sometimes they just subtitle the commentary, but this is rare.

Other times, a studio will have a right to release certain features in one country and not have the right to the same features in another.

But mostly, it's just so the Koreans can keep spiting us.

The South Koreans don't have nukes, and the only one who probably has a dvd player in the North is Kim Jong Il.

Can the current audio really be improved? I own it, but haven't had the chance to listen.

Whatever.

I doubt it. The current track is very good. Adding a DTS track will probably only make it a few db louder, giving the appearance that it sounds better.

Shucks!

Is that all DTS is? Damn...and to think i've been spending all this money on DTS discs from different regions.

Hey! Anyone want my discs? They're only a few db louder!

I think only thing that would be different to the R1, would be the Sp5.1 and the Fr5.1 DD tracks(both at 448kbps) would be dropped to make room for the DTS track.
