Wanted: Martial Arts Movie Suggestions

Does anybody have any suggestions on good martial art movies by Jackie Chan and Jet Li? Both Drunken Masters were some of my favorites (especially the first one), and I've seen many of Jet Li's more recent movies....

Police Story or First Strike for Jackie Chan. Once Upon A Time in China Trilogy for Jet Li. If youre feeling really brave pick up The Street Fighter w/ Sonny Chiba or try The Story of Ricky.

My favorite Jet Li movie is undoubtedly Fist of Legend. It's pretty much the same story as Bruce Lee's Chinese Connection.

I picked up Shaolin Wooden Men on VHS at a Pathmark a couple of years ago.

Pretty cool stuff that reminded me of Drunken Master. If you've ever played Tekken3, Mokujin, the wooden fighter, is in this movie. Well...a bunch of them really.

Plot wise, Jackie has to pass a gauntlet style test in order to become the baddest fighter ever and perform some revenge-type stuff. Insert fight scenes and vintage Jackie action for $3.99 worth of KFC fun.

I'd really try trolling for suggestions in the international forum. Your want opinions? They got'em.

Some great ass kicking is evident in Li's Fist of Legend, if you have to settle for the US release, better than nothing, also check out his criminally ignored Kiss of the Dragon, which was written and produced by Luc Besson, it is like a HK version of The Professional and the fighting and violence is down and dirty, no wires here.

I enjoyed Jackie Chan's Who Am I ?.

Yes, the story/plot can be a little silly (heck almost all of his film are almost likes that), but it has some great actions scene including Jackie fighting two guys atop on a rooftop of a tall building.

Good selection!

Couple other Jet Li's:

Kung Fu Colt Master, The
Black Mask
Contract Killer (Simon Yam in it as well)

also ..

Wing Chun (Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeoh)

If you enjoy Kung Fu films, check out anything Yuen Wo Ping choreographs/directs ... highly entertaining and unique. Iron Monkey 1 comes to mind with Donnie Yen.

Some that I would recommend are:

-Police Story - Older Jackie Chan movie but an excellent one, probably my favorite JC movie along with Drunken Master 2. This is the movie that introduced me to Jackie Chan and I've never looked back. (~$8 at www.dddhouse.com)

-Dragon Forever - Great martial arts film that shows how well choreographed Jackie's fights are. This is a showcase for how well Jackie works with Yuen Baio and Sammo Hung. Great fight scenes, esp. at the end in the drug factory. (~$8 at www.dddhouse.com)

-Iron Monkey - I was blown away when I saw this in the theaters here.

-Fist Of Legend - Already been mentioned but again I had to pimp it.
($13.80 at www.deepdiscountdvd.com)

-Bodyguard in Beijing aka The Defender in the U.S. - First Jet Li movie that I ever saw that's why I may be biased but there is an intense fight scene in the end. ($13.80 at www.deepdiscountdvd.com)

Kiss of the Dragon is another good Jet Li movie.

Any Bruce Lee movie (with the exception of the crappy knock off Bruce LE movies.....).

Legend of the Drunken Master is awsome.

I dug Kiss of the Dragon as well.
