Difference Between Mods and Admins?

Difference Between Mods and Admins?
On the forum, I hear a lot of people use these terms interchangeably. I believe there is a difference... mods can lock threads, edit posts and change polls on their forum... admins can do this for any forum, and they are the only ones that can change a user's profile, title and user name. (Well, other than Geoff.) Is that correct? And what else can a mod or admin do? (Just so we assign blame appropriately.)
Also -- is it true that there are certain members who have actually been given secret Admin powers? I think you all know who I am talking about...

I think you've got it about right.
Mod powers are (usually) based on the forum they moderate.
Admin powers are board wide.
Mods have control over threads/posts.
Admins have control over users, as well as threads/posts.
We do have one Super Moderator. That would be namja, who had moderator powers board wide.
As for your last question, the full admin list follows:

Mods can edit posts, change thread titles, edit polls, merge threads, delete threads/posts in the forums they moderate.
Admins can do all that stuff anywhere, plus change user titles, signatures, ban/suspend, all the fun stuff.

More importantly, admins can also play around with the software, re-arrange the forums, rename the forums, change the format and colors and do all kinds of technical stuff.
Geoff loves it when we play around like that.

chitowndvd is Geoff's brother, a lawyer in Chicago who was a part of the admin team and going to head up the VideoGameTalk.com initiative (which was scaled down after he was in a car accident and is super busy being a lawyer).
ChiTownAbs ripped off his name.
No idea who the other guy is though.
And BushDog is right, Mods are about 1/2 longer.
But it balances out with the reach-arounds we have to perform.
