Ken Park coming to theaters in the US?
Just wondering.
Saw Kids, Another Day in Paradise and Bully.
So after all the controversy surrounding the film, just curious if it is coming to the US? Or to region 1 DVD?

KEN PARK WILL BE RELEASED IN THE UNITED STATES OFFICIALLY IN AUGUST 2003
Vague, but it's from an official website.
I heard the story isn't great, but the controversy is just too inticing. I have to see it, eventually.

By now too many people have heard of it, so it's guaranteed some kind of release, if only a very limited one.
Methinks Mrs. Clark and Korine have been put into the 'one trick pony' section of the circus, however.

It'll like be either a very limited release to the arthouse circuit, or it will be heavily censored.
I've read a few online reviews, and the sex scenes sound pretty hardcore. As in not simulated.
So don't expect it at the local multiplex.

It wouldn't surprise me if this tandem of filmmakers went
out and just paid some people to do drugs, have sex and kill
a few people.
I've somewhat enjoyed all three films but come on already....come up with something new.
BTW: Beware of online reviews of this film....I read the first paragraph of one which contained a gigantic spoiler in it.

I dunno what the big deal about the movie is, the sex isn't hardcore, and the movie itself, well, sucks.
Minor Spoilers of a few "sex scenes" in the movie, not who it's between but mild detailing of the scenes. (and no plot details.)
This isn't Caligula, theres no penetration, and no actual shown oral stimulation with the exception of kissing.
There is a graphic "Self-pleasuring" scene that shows what happens when a guy gets off... isn't something you neccessarily want to see but it isn't exactly "shocking".
Oh and there's a little violence and overall perversion, but you hear about **** like this on the news all the time - this time you're just seeing it instead of reading about it on the second page of the newspaper or on CNN.
That movie itself is really incredibly stupid, moronic, and does little else than say "Hey look! We made a movie with 18 year old actors acting to be 15, going out, ****ing, and doing socially unacceptable things!"
Happiness had similar content, but that managed to be far more unnerving and professional.
To it's credit, the film was reasonably well shot.
I'm pretty sure the people who were 'offended' by the movie had never seen a porn before... that or they're pretending to have never seen one so people won't mistake them for a pervert or president or something.
