Anyone know why Scott Glenn wasn't in Red Dragon?

Sure he has no problem getting jobs, but considering some of the major duds he's been making since Silence of the Lambs (i.e. Firestorm, Extreme Justice, Night of the Running Man), I figured he would've been game for Red Dragon. Did he not want to come back? Listening to Brett Ratner talk about Harvey Keitel, it sounds like he never considered Glenn.

Scott Glenn used to be my favorite actor, but he is not as spry as he was in Gargoyles 1972. Lots of people will end their liking, as the actor gets older it's part of the game. IMHO
