There's a ltd. ed. GBA SP for japan only that is the famicom colors. Only 1000 made and none for sale. They will all be given away as a promotion. There's also a new cube color coming for a GCN Tales of Symphonia bundle-green I think.

Uhhh...what's the deal with that last sp. It looks like a flame/black hybrid. Any details? I thought the TOS GCN was going to be a darker green but oh well. Happy 20th.

If anyone here has seen that rediculous picture of the PS3 concept, it's actually a recolored Famicom.

Don't forget about the coffin shaped case to go with that special Boktai GBA SP .

The limited edition Tales of Symphonia Gamecube is actually "Mint."

Mint would be a character from the popular Tales of Phantasia on the SNES, another only in japan game. But its going to be released on the GBA this August.

Anyway, games sure have come far in 20 years .

Nintendo should start shipping all their products in a coffin. LOL LOL LOL XBOX RULEZ!!!!!!!

But seriously, folks. I thought the NES debuted in 1986? Or did it just take 3 years to get it to the USA.

Also, what is "Tales of Symphonia." I'm shocked that they are making a limited-edition Cube modeled after a game I've never heard of.

hah! Right after I posted that I was thinking someone would say something like that after I mentioned the case.

About ToS, The Tales Of series has a huge following in Japan, and hardcore following in the US. ToS is a anime influenced cel-shaded rpg but it looks awesome, its on my most anticipated list. Its an rpg but the battles are in real time (sort of). I think Namco also stated that it will be on 2 discs. Its due out at the end of August, in Japan that is. Tales of Desitny 2 on the PS2 was a pretty damn good game too.

CubeIGN has a pretty good preview of it:

And screenshots are here.

Both statements are correct. The US version of the Famicom was named the NES and debuted in 1986. That was 3 years after the Famicom was released in Japan.
