...is it just my eyes, or does Morpheus look bloated on the cover?

Actually the first thing I wondered was Morpheus too. But I'd say he looks constipated.

Have you seen the movie? Laurence Fishburn gained about 80 pounds between the two movies.

Yes I did, and you're right - he did put on some weight. I would have though they would have digitaly enhanced (slimmed) him down some...

Bleh, I was hoping for a big documentary on the whole production. Hopefully there'll be some commentary too.

I have my doubts about it coming in an Amaray. Warner's going to switch packaging styles for one DVD simply because? Joel Silver asked them to? The Wachowskis? "Pressure" from fans? I don't buy it. If WB actually listened to the buying public, they would've dropped those snappers ages ago.

Nevermind that a lot of mock-ups are shown in those cases, even though the final product isn't.

I hope there will be a remastered re-release of the original Matrix. I can wait for a definitive trilogy DVD release.

Not really impressed with the cover either. Was this a theatrical poster? At least the cover for the first movie somewhat resembled the theatrical poster (although it had an obvious photoshop of Moss and baldy). But this one just looks like an ad for Ferragamo's. Well, at least they get points for not having big heads and having a quote from Joel Siegel saying, "Better than the original Matrix!"

Because it's a 2-disk set and how many snappers have you seen that hold 2 disks?

It will likely be a dual-folding cardboard case, like the Harry Potter DVDs.

A few--Warner released JFK in a 2-disc snapper.

But every other Warner 2-disc set comes not in a keepcase, but in a cardboard, fold-out "Fight Club" style case.

That case-art blows. The picture of Neo looks especially off to me.

Somehow the cover just does not look right. All 3 of them look like they have been cut and pasted on there. The specs does not make it seem like it will be a 2 disc set. That is some awefully small features on what is supposed to be the most anticipated dvd of the year. Hopefully Warner has got some tricks in their bags.

I thought they were letting the fans choose the cover art? I don't recall that shot being one of the choices.

Maybe it's a DVD-5. Spidey was one of last year's most anticipated titles and didn't impress.

If by tricks you mean multiple editions, then yes, I think you are right.

digitalbits had a different cover in their rumor mill. The release day was the same, though. I think the specs in that release are speculation at least. Seems about as low of a 2-disc set as Spirited Away, if those specs are right.

Where's the Director's Cut, which I pray will cut about 10 minutes out of the film (and you all know which 10 minutes I'm talking about)?

Hold on. 2 Disc set but no DTS soundtrack? Are you kidding me?
