Question on different "Zombie" releases

Lucio Fulci's Zombie has a couple different editions and I was wondering which one you guys suggest as a blind buy. I've never seen this and nothing around me has it to rent, so I'm just going to have to buy it.

I'm confused on a few things:

1.) The 2-disk edition has a running time of 93 minutes and is rated R, while the single disk edition is unrated and has a running time of 91 minutes.

2.) One of them says 1979 and the other says 1980 as the year it was made.

3.) The single disk edition is cheaper but seems to have more favorable extra features, ie. letterbox format.

Which one of these would you guys suggest I buy? There isn't another version coming out soon that would be better that I haven't read about yet, is there?

Anchor Bay issued this, twice... I've never heard of a 2 disc AB DVD... Perhaps someone with more input can help here... But, to the best of my knowledge, AB has only issued a one disc, non-anamorphic, dirty transfer, R1 edition. It was then reprinted and issued again. You can buy it for < $10.00 just about anywhere...

Picture #1 above looks like the old AB release.

Picture #2 above looks like the new reprint.

IIRC, was it Media Blasters? - or someone similar - there was a rumored new edition in the works for this title...

Hope that helps...

Next.

AB has never released a 2-disc edition of Zombie.

The only 2-disc version of the movie will be
Shriek Show's SE:

This is the version to get. It will be anamorphic with tons of extras. Don't buy the old AB discs!
