Coupling:Season 2 - 10/28/2003
BBCAmerica
Most people think about sex every six seconds. Shorten that to EVERY second, and you've got Coupling. These people think about sex, they talk about sex, sometimes they even have sex. And they do it all in the most bizarre, hilarious fashion imaginable. Coupling features six thirty-something friends -- involved, formerly involved, or looking to become involved with each other -- in some of the funniest, most compromising and embarrassing situations ever presented on TV. Think the best bits of Friends, Seinfeld and Sex and the City rolled together in one hip, new comedy: Coupling.
Season 2: What do you do if you turn up at a party accidentally naked? How do you tell the girl you fancy that you lied about having a wooden leg? What do you tell your best friend when her boyfriend sees your bottom? And can men really have an opinion about fabrics? Find out the answers to these and other important questions of the 21st century dating game with Jeff, Patrick, Steve, Jane, Sally and Susan...

S1 was widescreen.
Good news, irritating timing. A few weeks ago, I gave up waiting for an announcement (I'm impatient, I admit it) and ordered the R2 set.
So now they announce the R1 set, and it's going to have more extras than the R2 (the R2 doesn't have the episode commentaries or the Beryl Vertue interview).
Great show, though. If the commentaries are any good, I'm more than willing to double-dip.

Awesome!! I've been meaning to order the R2 set for months, but I never seem to get around to it... The first season is one of the funniest runs of episodes I've ever seen of any show, and if the second season is anywhere near as good, it'll be a gem!!

I just got S1 on Monday. Good stuff, particularly since I had only seen 2 of the 6 episodes before.
I think have seen most or all of the S2 episodes and they were really funny.
I hope BBCA shows the S3 episodes sometime soon (only S2 episodes are listed in their upcoming schedule).

I saw this thread last night, and was trying to decide if I should buy it, since I have the R2 version. But with this latest news about the commentaries... I'll definitely be getting this. This is easily one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. One of my best blind buys... ever!

I probably won't be getting this, but I have been watching Coupling on BBCA, and it's hillarious. I don't remember if "The Girl With Two Breasts" was Season 1 or Season 2, but it's one of the funniest episodes of any series that I've ever seen.
