What's the deal with Justin Timberlake?
Several points I'd like to bring up...
1) Why do I like his music now? His last three songs, "Cry Me a River", "Rock Your Body" and "Love Don't Love Me" (off the Bad Boys II soundtrack) have had really good beats. Like I'm turning the songs up in my car? Is this normal for a heterosexual male?
2) He's all over the rap stations, BET, MTV's rap hour, rap soundtracks (Bad Boys II) etc. Is this the only white guy, besides Eminem, who can do this?
3) What's next? I mean I don't like the guy personally, but if producers keep these beats up on his songs, who knows...? I never thought I'd enjoy a song he was involved with.
If you got a nice system, check out that song of his off Bad Boys II. Bump, bump, bump.

I like torturing folks at work (well, were I used to work) by playing Rock your body over the PA, telephone lines and on the studio floor by blasting it while they were doing stuff for the productions..
His new songs have a good beat and the lyrics are just there. the beat is the main selling point and what I think he takes from his little micheal jackson obession..

Jackskeleton, I agree.
I like his songs because they really sound like a young Michael Jackson. I haven't read other opinions on the singles, but I was wondering if I was the only one who thought that.

I think everyone needs some mindless, fun, feel good music in their lives, and Justin is delivering it in spades. I actually enjoyed most of his album. The lyrics may be cringe worthy at times ("you're out of this world except you're not green" WTF?) but I like his voice and the beats are stellar.

Yes jamming your car sterio very loudly is normal for a heterosexual male, but saying "Like" at the begining of your sentence is not. Unless you are Lars Ulrich(Metallica's drummer$$$$)
"Is this the only white guy, besides Eminem, who can do this?"
The heck with that!! I'm wondering if I'm the only white guy who listens to Rock music anymore!!!
"What's next? I mean I don't like the guy personally, but if producers keep these beats up on his songs, who knows...? "
Does a good beat justify a song being good? There has to be more to it than that. If that were the case, we would all be hip hop stars. There must be somthing else that attracts you to the song, not just the "beat", or you wouldn't like it. Well, so it would seem that way to me
"MTV's rap hour"
MTV's rap Hour?!! Doesn't that show comes on every hour of the day, or is it just me?
"He's all over the rap stations'
You can credit that to RIAA/ Payola to Clear Channel Productions.

Yeah you're telling me the Macarana (sp?), the Thong Song and millions of other one hit wonder songs were big because of the lyrics? The beats man...it's almost always the beats.

He's proof in the power of marketing. He's marginally talented at best. You could probably do a casting call for wannabe ghetto-hard white boys and pick an army of suitable replacements. I still laugh at the pictures of him when he was on tour with N'Sync wearing friggin' cornrows. Talentwise, he's a W.A.S.P. Gerardo.
...but he DID tap Britney.

What's so hard to understand? His solo stuff is really soulful. This is not the same music that N*Sync puts out. Get over his boy band roots and dig the Timbaland beats. Come on, we need a new Michael Jackson, and Justin is good enough. All the other white guys are either too earnest or just goofing off.
