Terminator clothes re-generate?
I know your not supposed to think too hard about this stuff...but has there ever been an explanation for why in T2 and T3, the clothing re-generates?
My guess at a rational would be that since the later model terminators can simulate things they come in contact with, they are actually simulating the clothing too. I thought maybe leather being organic might be part of it but the Robert Patrick T2 could re-generate his cop uniform....

they are simulating the clothing. the T1000 shows this hte best when he goes from being the tiled floor to being the security quard before killing the guard, he has the same clothes but definitely didn't take them off the body

I think it is the Film Industries way of dealing with X and PG rating, since nudity throughout the film would give the film a rating which would make the film less accissible by a large audience which would lead to less revenue. 
As we could not see the full frontal of the TX in Terminator 3, since it was covered by the rear view mirror.
I think this is a flaw, since the people would be very intimidated by a naked man/woman coming running after them with a flame-thrower. This would cause larger amount of damage instead of having clothes. Well, remember Braveheart they are mooning their opponents before battling them in order to cause alarm.

There is no flaw or plot hole here. The T-800 never were able to regenrate clothes. As they got beat up, so did their clothing and such. The bullet hole example is great for showing this from T2. The TX and the T1000, well, they have the liquid morphing thing so they just imitate the clothing. Makes sense to me.
