While I wouldn't call the Zelda games "RPG's" if you liked Baldur's Gate you should try:

Baldur's Gate 2 (duh)
Fallout
Fallout 2
Planescape: Torment
Neverwinter Nights
(and the expansion pack)

I also highly recommend Morrowind and its expansion packs. Very different from the above games, offers a lot of freedom to do what you want. You could play for a hundred hours without even beginning the main story.

are there any NWN modules available for free?

Did you ever play Arcanum? It should be in the bargain bins by now.

All of these are excellent recommendations. I've played and finished Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate expansion, Baldur's Gate 2, Baldur's Gate 2 expansion, Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale expansion, Fallout, Fallout2, Planescape Torment, Morrowind.

I am currently working on Icewind Dale 2 and Neverwinter Nights.

This past holiday weekend all I did was play NWN. And I'm still only on Chapter 2. Didn't even bother to sleep much or go to BBQs or watch fireworks or anything else. Now I am really paying for it at work because I'm having trouble concentrating and staying awake.

RPGs are so much fun but boy are they timesuckers. I wish I could win the lottery and just play RPGs all day.

There are literally thousands of them. Obviously, these are user made so there are a lot that suck ass, but there are some great ones as well. I recommend the "Penultima" series, which has a lot of humor and really utilizes the engine well.

If you like Arcanum, check out the upcoming Temple of Elemental Evil Game from the same people. It's based on the classic 1st-Edition D&D module, but using the new 3.5 rules.

It's turned-based as well, which should be interesting. Hopefully they pull it off unlike that terrible Pools of Radiance game from a couple years ago.

One RPG I started recently and enjoyed is Xenosaga: The Will to Power. Having played FFX, the game felt roughly similar to me. I like the tone of the story in Xenosaga better, with some interesting plot items/issues already being brought up. Spent about a day on it and quite enjoyed it.

That is, when I wasn't playing Everquest....
