Diamond Dave (new David Lee Roth cd)

Former Van Halen frontman has a new CD coming out this Tuesday, July 8 called Diamond Dave.

There aren't nearly as many DLR fans now as there once were, though I'm a die-hard and will be picking it up for sure (if only for the album cover).

Seen the video for Shoo Bop off the new CD this weekend when Diamond Dave was on Classic VH1. I thought the song sucked and this is coming from a guy who has all the previous David Lee Roth solo & Van Halen CDs.

Song List
1. You Got The Blues, Not Me
2. Made Up My Mind
3. Stay While The Night Is Young
4. Shoo Bop
5. She's Looking Good
6. Soul Kitchen
7. If 6 Was 9
8. Tomorrow Never Knows
9. Medicine Man
10. Let It All Hang Out
11. Thug Pop
12. Act One
13. Ice Cream Man - (featuring Edgar Winter/Nile Rogers)
14. Bad Habits

Dave's been on a downhill slide for a long time. His last album of original material sold something like 20,000 copies, and then there was that tour with Sammy Hagar, where Sammy blew him off the stage every night.

Sammy's one of the easiest going guys in music. He's even open to playing with Eddie Van Halen again. After the tour with Dave, however, Sammy said that he'd never tour with the guy again.

Wow, looks like he might be old enough to celebrate his diamond anniversary in the music business.
