Doubtful. It hasn't had the following Coupling and Father Ted garnered.

Look on the bright side, it means they won't try and make an American version...

Actually, there was one in 1999: NBC gets cold feet over "Cold Feet"
After four weeks of poor ratings, NBC has cancelled Cold Feet, the relationship-oriented drama which starred Jean Louisa Kelly and David Sutcliffe. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series saddled NBC with its lowest-ever ratings in the Friday 10 pm timeslot, averaging 4.6 million viewers. Cold Feet will be replaced by repeats of Law & Order until January, when a permanent replacement will be named.
