Of interest to Beatles fans...
I had a CD recommended to me by some friends that is by a group of great musicians called The Vinyl Kings.
They have put together a CD of original songs that are in the style of The Beatles. I was skeptical but this CD is loads of fun.
These guys do an outstanding job and several of the tunes could pass as new Beatles songs if that was possible.
Check it out with this link, you can sample a few of the songs. Check out Mind Over Matter ... you'd swear it was John.
A couple of my favorites aren't available to sample. I was pleasnatly surprised when I got the disc. I've been listening to it a lot.

A discussion list that I'm on kept having posts from people that were so glad they got it and I finally gave in. I've been listening to it ever since.
It's amazing to me how well these guys have taken the style of each of The Beatles and incorporated it into these original songs.

There are techniques and effects that remind me of Rubber Soul through Abbey Road in various ways.
There's not a representation of the Yeah Yeah Yeah period which for me contributes to the flow of the CD.
