This thread would probably annoy some of you. But what are some other good monster movies that I do not already have. I am a sucker for this kind of movie. I already have
The Relic
All Jurassic Park
All Jaws
Dark Blue Sea,
Anaconda,
Lake Placid,
Godzilla (US version), and
Pitch Black
in my collection. "Monster," to me, means supernatural living creatures that mostly run around to eat people. Dead creatures like vampires or zombies do not count. Also, I already have Monster, Inc and Monster's Ball. Thanks.

Eight Legged Freaks and all the Tremors movies are excellent. A fourth Tremors will be coming out pretty soon as well. I thought Bats was fairly good, but I'm definitely in the minority on that.

I prefer Ray Harryhausen monsters. It Came From Benath The Sea and 20 Million Miles To Earth are personal favs as well as his Sinbad films. they dont always run around eating people, but they are monsters at thier best.
and another vote for J.C.'s The Thing. a film that is just as scarey...everytime you watch it.

It is in widescreen but its matted since the film was made for tv. Some people have complained about the matting but I've not seen the dvd so I can't really tell you if its bad or not.

If you're asking a question about movies, then the question belongs in Movie Talk. If the question has to do with DVD details (special features, release dates, transfers), then it goes in DVD Talk. Moving thread.

Check out some of the newer Godzilla movies from the 1990's and G2000. The model work and effects are much better, but they still have that same feel that the classic films did. G v. Destroyah is pretty cool, as it ties in elements from the original film in the 50's, and has a great scene of a burning Godzilla attacking Hong Kong.
The only problem is the Godzilla v. Mothra/G. v. King Ghidorah DVD is pan and scan with mono sound. :(

Do werewolf movies count? They are supernature, run around eating people, and are living (FYI: zombies and vampires are undead -ptth- ).
