OMG! Predator 3?!

According to www.moviehole.net/news.php?newsid=1891, a Predator 3 script has been floating around in limbo, until renewed interest in it from Aliens V. Predator.
It has Dutch in it (Arnold's character) and takes place in NY in a blizzard. It sounds way better than P2. What does anyone think?

I personally would love to see it, Predator movies to me, were underrated.

We might have to check out Aliens vs. Predator first.

How long has this been up in the air. Hell How long as the AvP idea been floating around anyways? It has had to be atleast 5-8 years.

I believe that Aliens Vs Predator will never happen even though Fox has a gold mine there.. though it might just very well be a niche market. either way I would love to see a new predator film.

This is some pretty exciting news. I didn't know that it's been in limbo for so long, though. Who was it that said "I'll be back!", anyway?

Actually, an Aliens V. Predator film is supposedly start filming end of this year with an August 2004 release date. That's what I've been hearing from darkhorizons.com, ect.

Althought the idea sounds cool, the "Predator in the city" bit has been done already.

But that was in the summer when it is hot. This would be in winter.

Didn't they make a point of mentioning in the first 2 movies that it was the "hottest summer in years"? I wonder how they would work in the winter timeline? I was under the impression that the Predator only came to earth to hunt when it was ungodly hot.

Ungodly hot, and in violent times.

They should do one in Iraq...

Maybe Arnold and Danny Glover could be in it? Then the DVD could include the outtakes of political debates that occured on set.

I'd only see it if Arnold were in it.

True.

Predators don't like cold. However, if they follow the Dark Horse comics then they could have the Predators in winter due to engine problems. I just read a book where they landed in Siberia due to this and the book was set AFTER a previous encounter with NYPD. Dutch's brother was one of the main characters in both stories.

I'd see it with either Danny Glover or Arnold. I know the second film was meant for Arnold butyou gotta admit Danny Glover got to square off with the Predator a lot more than Arnold did.

But, why not do it with a different actor? Not playing Arnold or Danny Glover's characters of course but rather a whole new character. I only say this cos it could turn into a really cheesy series if Arnold or Danny Glover are always fighting against a Predator in every movie.

Besides, with a good script, excellent directing and tense action sequences, the movie'd be great no matter who you had as a star (so long is it's not any teen idol or teen pop sensation).

What would be even better is if they use this movie to set the stage for Aliens vs. Predator. Too bad that one will probably hit theatres first, if the rumours are true.

I remember some time ago a computer game MOD (i think it was for Duke 3D) dealt with the Predators, only in the past (late 1700's i believe).

Its a very interesting concept and i'd love to see more about thier inital landing on earth anf how they stumbled upon our planet.

UAIOE, there are also several PC games that came out within the past couple years that deal with Aliens vs. Predators.

Well, anyway. I liked the first and second, but I'd really cringe if Danny Glover gets recast. I hate him.

Yeah, but none of the AvsP games really deal with the inital landing(s) on Earth. There might be some mentioning of landing here, but nothing in depth.

I'd like to see another Predator movie with Arnold/John McTiernan. I didn't like Predator 2 all that much, and seeing Arnold's character fighting a Predator in a winter city enviornment might be some fun.

whats to get deep about? they travel around for Game. It's like asking for a story on how the hunter found the watering hole to hunt in. Get the comics if you want some back story. In a predator film I want hunting and lots of it.

What, you dont wanna know who the Predators have killed over the 200+ years they have been on the planet?

I'd be rather interested to see if anyone has managed to whoop a Predator without any fancy, modern weapons or military training.
