I am looking at several models of 57" WS tvs and wanted to see if anyone had experience/thoughts on these: Sony 57WS500, Hitachi 57F500, and Toshiba 57H83. For the most part they are almost the same in price, though I believe Best Buy is having a sale on the Toshiba this week, making me lean towards it. From what I can tell (though its hard to get these all side by side), picture is about the same. Just wanted to know what people who have home theaters think about those brands, models, & general advice.

Well...I can tell you this...if you get a Sony, as I have, make sure the serial number is out of the range of the ones that have problems. (check the sony forum on www.hometheaterspot.com )
Mine was, it was serviced free under sony warranty, and it's just one HELL of a set. It got a bad rap because of the problems with certain serial numbers, but it's been rectified...
I really like the Sony set...it gives a great pic out of the box, and once aligned with the Avia setup disc - look out. Although, a buddy has a Mits, and it's very nice as well. Same with the 53" panny's. I have to say Samsung is creeping in with their sets being better all the time too...
