How much box office makes a 'blockbuster' today?
The old standard used to be that if a movie makes $100 million, it's a blockbuster. But I don't know if that's universal these days. When you get movies like T3 and Hulk that cost well over $100 million to make and market, a "mere" $100 million gross is nowhere near a hit. Of course, if you've got something like "Greek Wedding" that cost very little to make and it makes $100 million, that's a different thing, but in general, what do you think a big-budget Hollywood mainstream flick needs to make these days to be considered a major hit? I no longer think $100 million is a fair goal for most movies.

It all depends on the budget. Blair Witch made how much? $100 mil+? On a super low budget, so that would be a blockbuster in its own right.

Not only does it depend on budget but it depends on hype and advertising.
If a movie makes soemthing like $150mil but isn't advertised much or didn't have any hype to it then it would be a blockbuster. But if The Hulk only pulls in $150 million then its considered a bomb.
