Jeremy Northam's actually the main star, Lucy's part is smaller.
"An unsuspecting, disenchanted man finds himself working as a spy in the dangerous, high-stakes world of corporate espionage. Quickly getting way over-his-head, he teams up with a mysterious femme fatale.
Genre : Thriller "... says IMDb.
It's been held back until 2004 for North American release, despite the fact that it's been shown in Japanese theaters.

Yeah, I've been really wanting to see this movie. I love Lucy Liu (I know everyone hates her, so save it for another thread) & it's directed by the guy that did Cube, which I like a lot.

It's a pretty entertaining little thriller, although not up to the greatness of Cube. The first half hour or so has a quirky, almost They Live-esque feel to it, and then it becomes what is, essentially, a bigger budgeted X-Files episode (many scenes actually look more like a TV show than a film). The ending comes on far too quickly, though; I would've liked to see things fleshed out a bit more and not have things wrap up so abruptly.
Jeremy Northam does a good job transforming from nerdy corporate peon to suave industrial spy, and Lucy Liu handles her fairly small part well -- and looks great doing it, to boot: Liu is absolutely smokin' when Northam's character first meets her.
Knowing what to expect, I was quite happy with it as a blind buy. Assuming you're a fan of techno-thrillers, you'll likely have a good time with this one. I'm planning to upgrade from my fairly basic Swedish disc (where the movie was called Brainstorm) to the German 2-disc sometime soon.
