Low priced Xbox coop games?

Yeah, there have probably been a gazillion of these threads and for posting my own, I apologize. (for the record, I did do a search but it found nothing??)

Ok, so I took the plunge and bought an Xbox on impulse as it was 50$ off with no gimmick.

Now, I'm only a pc gamer so I really don't know much about Xbox games so I'm looking for the following recommendations.

-Coop Games
-RPGs (or dungeon hack and slash type games)
-Good strategy games
-Pure action shooters (no stealth or difficult puzzles, I just want to shot stuff up!)

Preferrably low prices games please- thats why I have a lot of recommendations requests.

(Incidently, I'm waiting on Fable and D&D Heroes right now)

Panzer Dragoon Orta. Now under $30 or less. If you have a HDTV it's got very nice eye candy.

i'd have to agree with baulders gate: dark alliance. It was $10 at Best buy, but it should only be $20 at other places

I like Ghost Recon, but it's not exactly a pure shoot-em-up.

TimeSplitters 2 is either a game people love or hate, but since you're getting Halo, it shouldn't be on your list.

Why get NHL 2003 when the 2004 series will be out in three months?

Other than hockey, basketball games are the only good sports games to play co-op or four-player.

But isn't it worth the extra $25 to play with the 2003-04 roster and schedule and updated features?

And since you said 2003 instead of 2K3, I assume you mean EA Sports' game instead of Sega Sports?

I put a post up about this a few weeks ago. We purchased Baldur's Gate and are not completely thrilled with the purchase. It is alright but nowhere near as in depth as would be expected. Also it is apparently very short. Unlike the PC version. So we might be done quick. If you buy Halo that is about 3 months of gaming in its own. I envy anyone just starting to play it.

We are probably going to try Timesplitters 2 and then Brute Force (which I thought was coming out a year ago but was obviously delayed).

Personally, I really didn't like Timesplitters 2. I can see why some folks like it with all the unlockables and bonus features and the like, but as I posted in some older threads -- I HATE the Goldeneye style controls. I want to be able to have a steady crosshair, not one that shifts all over the screen. I was also very underwhelmed with the graphics. If the controls had been decent, I probably woulda played through to the end, but as it was, I just couldn't stand it.

I'll get to be the first to say OUTLAW GOLF. Usually it's Trigger that says it. It's a great game for 1-4 players. If you like golf games, this is a must have.

Timesplitters? Another title to look at, I forgot about that one.

Lastblade, you sure about that? I never played a Sega Sports game.

(Oh, and if people have some titles for sale, feel free to PM or email me the list and prices)

I'm not a fan of Serious Sam anyways, its a bit too simple...

I was in Target yesterday and they had Unreal Tournament for $19.99, reduced from $29.99.

Not a bad price.

Yes, I am sure, I hate EA's NHL series (other than NHL 94 on the Genesis)... If you want a realistic, fun hockey game, get the Sega one.... if you want an arcade skate up and down and shoot game with ridiculous matrix-like slow down MTV style breakaway shots, well, get EA's game.

Serious Sam is definitely co-op capable, and very fun in that mode.

Well then the kid lied to me.
The youth of today.

"Yeah, just drive down the road about 10 miles until you see the big tree and take a left. It's down that road near the farmhouse."

I have Serious Sam for Xbox. It can do split screen 2-player co-op, and it can also do system link 2 player co-op (unlike Halo), so each player gets their own full screen.

It can even do 4-player split screen co-op with 2 TVs and 2 linked Xboxes. It's a fun game.
