Question about Pioneer 533 & Yamaha receiver
Hi, I'm considering buying a Pioneer 533 HDTV, but my Yamaha RX-V392 receiver doesn't have Component Video or S-Video capability.
I'm thinking I could get a new receiver in a few months, but I'm wondering how much the picture quality will suffer in the meantime.
Also, does anyone have any good receiver suggestions? I'll be using it for both the HDTV and listening to music.
Thanks for helping a newbie : )

you dont have to route the video through the receiver... you can just connect directly to the tv. you really only use the switching if you have MULTIPLE inputs, and your tv only has a few, then you NEED the receiver to switch for you...
