Keen Eddie - 06/17/03

Episode 3: "Achtung Baby" (description from TV Guide):

Assigned to protect a German opera singer (Josie Lawrence) from a stalker, Eddie is not too keen about the diva being attracted to him.

Eddie (Mark Valley) is a pimp. This show was excellent, but they need to give us more Fiona!

Pippin is the perfect sidekick for Eddie. How can someone not love this cast?

Thought the whole "killer is following the plot of the play" idea was nothing original, but other than that it kept me interested. The character interaction is pretty good on this show, though it wasn't as consistently funny as last week's episode.

Agreed on us needing to see more Fiona...

Charming and action-packed as usual. Ratings have dropped off since the premiere, though, so I'm not anticipating having a long relationship with Eddie.

Ah well.

I thought the opera singer looked familiar: it's the British lady from "Whose Line is it Anyways?"! Huh.

Ugh, only a 3.2/5 rating for the June 10 show, making about 5 million viewers. Not sure if that will be enough to keep it on. I'm hoping though that Fox considers giving it a chance, since 13 episodes were already filmed (and, I assume, bought by Fox). Maybe they'll at least give it until November sweeps to prove itself. The show was scheduled to be shown last fall, but was pushed back.

Seems like American Juniors is still doing well. Morons...

Aw man, gotta love Fiona's giving Eddie a taste of his own medicine (w/r/t the pets). Oh yeah, Fiona is fine!

I loved this episode. I really hope that it gets a chance to pick up some more of a audience.

I just got around to watching this week's episode and it was another great show. They really need to find a way to work Fiona into the main storyline once or twice. Because more Fiona is definitely a very good thing.

I'm thinking the American public is more fascinated with watching youngsters humiliated and having their hope/aspirations crushed on a weekly basis..

wait a minute...why ain't I watching this..??

I notice the show isn't on Fox's fall schedule. Is it just being used to keep 24's timeslot warm, or what?

Yes. If you notice, the season began in the summer. It's not even a midseason replacement.

Today I was flipping around and I saw a promo on FX for Keen Eddie. I only saw part of it but it showed Miss Moneypenny in a black bra showing a lot of cleavage. Was this just a regular Fox promo or will they be rebroadcasting Keen Eddie on FX?
