Anyone have an AirStyle wireless controller from Fountech?

They say it's built like a tank and has such a similar layout to the Dual Shock that it feels almost identical. Here's a link to the review: http://gear.ign.com/articles/409/409...html?fromint=1

Anyone have one of these? Lemme know what you think of it if you do.

Interesting. I never heard of this controller until now. I just read the IGN review. It looks like a good controller, with one fatal flaw. Near the end of the review, it says:
I would also forget about the rumble because it's simply not very good. In fact, if vibration feedback is an extremely high priority for you, then skip this pad altogether. You feel it, but just barely. To me the tradeoff is a no-brainer, but some of you might like the controller to jump around.
This is a deal breaker for me. I have the Logitech PS2 wireless controller, and although the d-pad is not that great and the analog sticks are a little loose, I'll gladly trade those in for a better ergonomic design and awesome rumble. The logitech controller has great rumble, which is important for me. Of course, this is coming from someone who doesn't have a Wavebird for his GCN because it doesn't have rumble. I use the Pelican wireless for GCN instead since it has rumble.

Wow, those are some very nice reviews for that controller. An excellent wireless controller vs. no vibration seems like a no-brainer for me (IMO Joshic ) Now I just need to be able to get this to the East Coast...every retailer for AirStyle seemed to be Mid-West to Western states.

that controller totally rocks!!!!

i played with it @ e3 and instantly fell in love. its perfect! It has the right wieght and right size that a ps2 controller should. unlike the logitech (which i hated) the analog sticks are nice and tight with a good coating on them so your thumbs don't slip. Im currently ordering it from lik-sang right now. its $49.99 plus shipping
i cant wait!

Vibration vs. wireless is not a big deal IMO too. I ordered one too - scheduled to for delivery June 23rd. I can't wait because I usually sit back pretty far from the TV and I have to stretch my dual shock cord to the limit. The 900 mhz thing is gonna be key.
I'll try to let ya all know how it works when I get it.

I actually purchased the airstyle and played with it all the time. I still love it. its very comfortable in my hands, its the same size as a standard ps2 controller. The logitech is larger then a PS2 controller and in the larger hand community logitech as a better feel and design. The rumble feature on the airstyle is pretty crappy. It doesn't affect me cause I hate rumble and never turn it on. If you are looking for rumble and/or want a slightly larger controller go for the logitech.

thanks for the input squidget...i really want to get rid of the wires through my livingroom, but don't want to drop $50-$60 on a controller thats gonna suck..this founteh one seems to get good reviews, but I can't find it in a store anywhere, so i'll probably get the logitech as that seems to be everywhere..i just hope i like it..

Looks good, but I just can't justify $50-60 bucks for a third party wireless when Nintendo sells the wavebird for $30-35.

No rumble isn't a big deal to me as I hate rumble and usuallly turn it off anyway.
