Best "suspense" moment? *Spoilers*

I'm not sure if this is the best way to say it, but I'm wondering what movie (in your opinion) has the best suspense. Most of them are gun-related, where a guy has a gun at someone, and the music gets louder until they either drop the gun or shoot it. My pick would have to be the last scene in Se7en, where Mills (Brad Pitt) shoots John Doe (Kevin Spacey).

Trench run in the original Star Wars is one of the best IMO.

The Se7en one is a good pick, although I would use spoiler tags. Here are some of my favorites off the top of my head:

The Silence of the Lambs:

Spoiler:
The climax where Starling is in the dark but Buffalo Bill has the IR goggles

Psycho:

Spoiler:
The reveal of "Mother" in the chair at the end

An American Werewolf in London

Spoiler:
The attack on the moors. "Oops."

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

Spoiler:
The final showdown.

High Noon

Spoiler:
Duh!

Schlinder's List

Spoiler:
The jammed pistol

I second this--exactly what I was thinking when I read the thread title.

It may not be the "best" suspense moment of all time, but one of most suspenseful moments I've seen in theaters over the past few years has got to be the "cell phone retrieval" scene from Panic Room.

Rear Window

This one is a good example of suspense purely through story and not cheap thrills.

Spoiler:
When the man across the way comes to Jimmy Stewart's apartment. The room is dark, Stewart flashes him repeatedly with his camera. The whole scene is quite tense but not a cheap "Boo!" or "Gotcha!" moment.
