bad boy bubby

It was never released on DVD. Its funny you should mention this film because up until about a week ago i had never heard of it.

I was chatting with a fellow movie fan on Yahoo and he told me about this movie. It sounded like something I would like so I tried to track it down but no luck

I went to the 'official' Bad Boy Bubby Site ( yes it even has a web site) and this is the info they had:

http://www.angelfire.com/movies/badboybubby/

'''''For North American readers....

There is no current US (VHS-NTSC) release for Bubby as far as I know and no DVD release any where in the world as yet. I found it very difficult trying to get hold of distributors to find out information regarding release dates so I've all but given up on that. However while searching the internet for distributors I did come accross a company in the USA that will sell a VHS (all formats) taped copy of the Bad Boy Bubby (or tonnes of other weird and wonderful movies) for 38$ including postage and packaging. The company is called ‘Video Search of Miami’''''''

Its only available in PAL VHS format otherwise so any chances of most of us ever seeing it ( at least those of us in the US) are slim to none

I hope someone puts this out on DVD so more people, myself included, can check it out

Matt

I saw this movie for the first time years ago at a test screening in the Los Angeles area. It was a finished product at the time, so I'm guessing that one of the studio's was thinking about buying it and was gauging audience feedback.

I thought (at the time) that it was one of the best movies that I've ever seen and I still stand by that opinion today. If memory serves, about 1/3 of the audience walked out on it within the first 20 minutes. I was lucky enough to catch another screening of it a couple of years later at at film festival in Hollywood. Audience reation (probably because people had a better idea of what the movie was about) was alot better at that screening.

I'm not sure how many times it has screening in the USA. I'd be interested in finding out under what circumstances anybody else in this country has seen it.
