A Better Surge Protector?

I'm thinking of getting the RCA SCTV4000 for below $20. The only thing missing are rca jacks for subwoofers. Could anyone name me a better protector for under $25-50 that has this? Or, for what it has already, is this as good as it gets? I'm think of getting two of these, so some budgetting here would help....

The specs:

8 outlets
2090 joules
UL 1449: 330V
Coax cable protection (2 lines); 3-ft & 6-ft cables included
Phone & data line surge protection; 6-ft phone line included
6-ft AC cord with 90º-angle plug
RCA custom power switch
Safe-operation indicator lights
Gold-plated connectors
Noise filtration
$50,000 surge equipment guarantee
Limited lifetime warranty

Could someone also inform me how to read the UL rating? Is the 330V too low? Thanks very much. By the way, I read a bunch of threads on surges last night, but I'd still like an opinion on this. Thanks everyone.

Thanks a lot

Forty-two views, and not one reply? I asked honestly, didn't I? What's going on here?? Was it too complicated, or what?

I guess I did not understand the intent of the question.

You are trying to buy the cheapest surge protector to protect your equipment and asking if that is ok?

IMHO I have 3 Panamax surge protectors and would not buy anything else.

Good luck!

Well, I'm happy for the people who can afford that. I really am.

just realize how much time you are debating over a $20 purchase... to protect probably a high dollar value of equipment.

if it has a warranty, it will be fine. even if it DOESNT have surge, if it has warranty, you are technically protected. just get what fits your pocketbook...

i do sales ALL day long, and people get mad at me for suggesting something out of their price range, rather than just saying "thats out of my range". im just trying to show them the nice stuff thats out there. if you cant afford it, dont buy it, it you can, buy it. and if all you can afford is $20, its really hard getting many options in that price range.
