Help choosing a tv...

I am new to high end video and the HDtv's, so I thought I would ask some advice. I start my new job in September, so I am going to take advantage of Best Buy's 24 month plan. I am looking for 47"+, but I am not really sure what I should be looking at for features. I am currently considering the two following televisions:

Sony KP-57WS500 - 57" $2,299.99

Samsung HCN-653W - 65" $2,499.99

I am not looking for a flat panel television, just a real quality, high end digital television. Any input is appreciated and if there is another television better than the two listed, please let me know.

Thanks.
Jason

BTW
I am trying to keep cost under $3,000.00

It's a real shame that you can't increase your budget, sq240.
The SAMSUNG HLN-5065W, DLP rear projection system rocks!
It can be had for under $4,000 and it's one of the best looking sets out there for the price. A lot of DLP sets go for much more and once you've experienced this technology everything else pales by comparison. Just thought that I'd give you a heads-up, as I am a proud owner of this set.
