Introducing the Rock as...Buford T. Pusser?!??!?!?!?
It appears that the classic Walking Tall is being remade with none other than the Rock cast as the Rogue Sherriff Buford T. Pusser. To add insult to injury, IMDB is reporting that Johnny "Jackass" Knoxville has been cast as his sidekick.

This news is way old. It had been announced a long time ago.
I really do think "The Waling Tall" deserves a remake, but having the Rock as Bufford T. Pusser isn't a good choice IMO. But who knows, maybe Rock can pull it off if you actually try watching it. I'd probably see it when it comes out in theaters since I'm a huge fan of the "Walking Tall" trilogy.
