Kill Bill,: get ready to vomit or be offended by violence
imdb.com
Do you think the mpaa will let this movie get away with all the violence an R rating just because its Quinten Tarantino, or will they have the movie cut to pieces only to have the unrated version hit dvd (a first for miramax?)
Stunner Lucy Liu is warning sensitive fans to avoid her new movie Kill Bill - because the dramatic violence will make them physically ill. The Charlie's Angels babe stars alongside Uma Thurman in cult director Quentin Tarantino's long-awaited fourth film, and predicts audiences will either flee from the cinema or vomit in their seats when they watch the extreme action - even if she thinks the violence is artistic. She says, "It's so violent. People will leave the movie theatre or get sick in the movie theatre. But there's so much violence that it becomes not numbing, but almost comedic. There's a scene where there's so much violence that the color of the film goes into black and white, so that the blood looks like oil. It's cinematic, it's art. You can take it to a different level, and show what violence is, in such a heightened manner that you don't think of it as violence anymore, you think of it as a language. If you go to Kill Bill, you know there's going to be violence - that's your option."

It's like the most family friendly movie of all time!! The MPAA are ****ing retarded.
Son: "Hey daddy, what are all those women doing?"
Dad: "Oh, they're all just orgas.... um, nevermind."
I dont know about you, but I havent seen a family friendly movie with a bunch of woman orgasming.
But back to Kill Bill, I'm going to take it with a grain of salt. Quentin's films have been very violent, but they really haven't been that gory (the ear scene in Reservoir Dogs and Marvin's head in Pulp Fiction). I wouldn't be suprised if Kill Bill is very violent, but I'll be shocked if it is very gory (maybe in the style of say The Street Fighter?).
And if it does have to get edited for the MPAA and Miramax won't release it unrated for DVD, there's always The Criterion Collection.

Maybe I'm weird, but I'd love it if somebody threw up in the theater I'm seeing the movie in. Provided that the stink doesn't detract from the viewing experience, of course.

I remember reading a draft of the script earlier this year and thinking there was no way QT would be able to realize what he had written down without an NC-17/unrated release. Who knows, the MPAA might decide that since its almost comedic, it can have an R, but the only person who can get an exception because of who he is is Steven Spielberg.

I can't wait for the movie, although I really hate that Uma Thurman is the star & doing action.
I am deeply in love with Lucy Liu though.

Revised IMDB entry
However since QT is responsible for 3 of my favorite movies, I'm in.
Honk!
Stunner Rucy Riu is warning sensitive fans to avoid her new movie Kill Bill - because she is in it and everyone knows that Rucy Riu sucks.

They never "have" to cut anything.
