Glastonbury Music Festival DVD

"There have been some stunning and legendary performances at the Glastonbury Festival, and some of the best moments of British contemporary music have taken place in Pilton over the past 33 years.

The best news of all is that since 1994 Glastonbury Television has been recording on the main stages and now has a catalogue of breathtaking luminaries and moments. Now the Glastonbury Festival is planning to release a DVD featuring highlights from these years as well as tons of other best bits from Glastonbury. The scheduled date for the release of this will be announced later this year.

Even more exciting is that YOU, the users of this website, have the chance to select which performers appear on the compilation. Use the form below to select the one performance which you would most like to see on the DVD.

You can also enter your email address below if you would like to be sent updated information as soon as it is available, and if you would be interested in purchasing this DVD. Information about the content of the DVD, special features and additional documentary footage will also be released first on this website.

This list isn't exhaustive - if you have some fantastic memory or YOUR OWN BEST MOMENT and you have the slightest suspicion it was filmed LET US KNOW!"

GAAAH! Too much goodness!

Everyone, vote for... um... everything? I'm really looking forward to the 1995 performances. That's when I left to come to America, so it'l take me back a bit...

I suppose no-one has to vote for Robbie Williams. I'd be content if they just released his televised Slane Castle concert on DVD...

I voted for Basement Jaxx. These guys tear up 'live'.

I am a little miffed that the Pet Shoy Boys performance, specifically the duet between Neil and 'Catatonia's' Cerys Matthews is not included on the list.

Vote for Tori Amos here

As long as it's not released in PAL i'll be happy. I don't want to hear Tori's voice any higher than it regularly is

Oh, but it will be PAL... however, if it was shot on video, it wouldn't have any speedup, would it?

Not true.

I have the Will and Grace DVD's...and everyone swore up and down they wouldn't be sped up.

Lies. All lies.

They were shot on NTSC film, so naturally they'd be sped up for PAL. Am I incorrect?

Aren't most sitcoms shot on film now?

Films gets sped up too when it's converted to PAL. 24fps --> 25fps.

If Glastonbury is shot on PAL video and released on PAL DVD, no speedup.

Personally, PAL speedup doesn't bother me EXCEPT on music DVDs.
