CH DVD club now sells games
Meh,
Shipping is $2.99 for the first item then $1.99 for each additional. There are no connections with your DVD club account. Can't buy a game to fullfill the account. Can't use fun cash for games. A few games like Legend of Zelda were $5 less than retail. The grand opening sale is free shipping on pre-orders. There's something about a secret sale that involves signing up for emails.
I don't think EB or Gamestop have anything to worry about.

You know, I never thought about a club for games. So, you are saying that you have to sign up for the DVDs and end your membership buying a DVD as well? I think if they had a club for just games I'd join right away.

I mentioned this in another thread, but there used to be a club for games years ago. I don't recall who ran it. The problem was that the games were all old titles that weren't any good in the first place. I realized that if I really wanted any of them I could save money by buying them at the "Bargain Bin" at my local store.
But if CH were to run a new club featuring new games and the same opportunity for discount offered by their DVD club, I'd jump all over it.

But what's the fulfillment obligation and minimum price?
For the DVD club it's $19.99 movies towards fulfillment (avg price for movies), for games they may be $49.99.
Just checked the site, doesn't seem to be a separate club. You can just order games there like everywhere else.

DVD Talk Hero
some of the latest for each system, along with greatest/platinum hits...
Here's some of the top games they have listed...
PS2:
GTA Vice City
GTA 3
NBA Street 2
Hulk
Midnight Club 2
RTCW: Operation Ressurection
The Sims
Splinter Cell
Enter the Matrix
A few Preorders:
Madden 2004
Silent Hill 3
Xbox:
Brute Force
Ghost Recon
Splinter Cell
Indiana Jones
X2
Midnight Club 2
A few Preorders:
SOF 2
Star Wars KOTOR
Midtown Madness 3
Dino Crisis 3
Gamecube:
Zelda
Mario Party 4
Def Jam Vendetta
Enter the Matrix
Hulk
A few Preorders:
Soul Calibur 2
F-Zero GX
Wario World
It appears they have mostly PS2 games, followed by Xbox, then Gamecube. Hopefully they'll add PC games soon, but I doubt it, since it's easier to copy a PC game then a console game, and I am sure they are aware of the people out there that like to rip off the manufacturers.
Overall, it looks like a good place to get games. Decent prices as well.
