Blockbuster Sale: 25% off used games

My local BBV has 25% off used games. Didn't pay any attention to the sign to see when it expired. Sorry.

Anyway, this is a pretty good deal for some titles.

I picked up Resident Evil 0 for $11 after discount.

Happy hunting.

In a couple weeks they'll also be doing the "Buy 2, Get 1 Free." This current one is good if you only want to buy one title, plus I imagine the selection is going to be a bit better too.

Has anyone found a very small supply of GC games at their Blockbuster? The selection of used titles for sale at most of the one's I've been to have been poor at best. Doubt I could find one game I'd want not to mention three. Are they phasing out GC games? Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't think they are phasing out GCN games but most of the BB I've been to have a poor selection of everything. There generally are more PS2 games.

The main reason why I'm hesitant to buy from BB is because they really do not keep them well. 90% they are in those crappy cases (which is not a big deal except for the Resident Evil games which are two disc that they just throw in there) and for the lack of instructions.

I did luck out on RE0 though and found (what looks like) a brand new copy with all the inserts and the original case.

Does anyone have any luck with finding good games in the NYC area? I seem to never find anything worth purchasing whenever I go to check out these sales at BB.

Don't forget that games from Blockbuster are usually in terrible shape. Scratches glaore, unfortunately.

You have the right to request to examine the conditions of the discs before you make the purchase, and they should oblige.

Yes, most of their DVDs and games are scratched to hell, but occasionally I have found some that were in near mint conditions. YMMV.

I picked up Tony Hawk 4 and Medal of Honor for the PS2, sans cases and instructions, for $7.50 a piece the other night.

However, I have to take TH4 back and exchange it. I've never seen a disc as scratched as this one. Most of the BB games I've gotten have been near mint. This is the first that won't even boot up.
