Picking up xbox live next week..

Which of those 3 is the better live games?

i heard ghost recon has some crappy errors when online and mech assualt is pretty sweet..PSO doesnt do anything for me really and the fact that its pay to play after the second month turns me off... i already have RTCW, so im leaning towards mechassualt.. crap i dunno which one to get

I'd say Ghost Recon by a landslide, but I have a feeling that MechAssault will win the popular vote.

I found MechAssault's online play to be very shallow. If you're looking for a fast paced shooter though, go with it over Ghost Recon.

Eh, i'd pay $15 for it. Still better than 80% of the games out there.

49.99
-5.00 (Gamer's Choice Coupon)

44.99
-15.00 (Gift Card)

29.99

Ain't too bad... but since you probably can't use the GC right then and there, I could always get the game and then get back in line for Die Another Day...

Or wait two months and watch the price on the game fall to $30...

Thanks for the heads-up.

I used to work part time packing/sorting adverts/coupons at our local newspaper. If memory serves the Sunday paper adverts were processed and handled on the Wednesday before. Ofcourse the exact day would be different week to week but these materials are handled by folks well before Sunday.

I didn't play online a lot (I don't play online much at all, other than SOCOM), but I never had any problems. No lag, great voice comm, etc.

There was an issue with the 'optimatch' option not returning any games to play, but they patched that. It takes longer now but I think you get a good list of games now.

I would decide based on what kind of game you like. Mech Assault is more of an arcade style shooter. I haven't tried the new CTF mode, but there's not a lot of strategy to MA's online play. It's pretty much a slugfest "last man standing" kind of game. There's nothing wrong with that, I just got bored with it rather quickly. The single player campaign isn't bad, but it's pretty short and doesn't offer much in terms of replay value.

Ghost Recon is worth $40 just for the single player game. TONS of stuff to unlock. I didn't play online much because I was so wrapped up in the single player game. It's not Quake though. One shot can (and will) take you down. You can't just run into situations with guns blazing. Unlocking the badass sniper rifle (cannon) and taking out guys from a distance is a lot of fun though. I didn't care for the Rainbow Six games (infiltrating buildings with a team) but I loved Ghost Recon.

Take the game and the Die Another Day DVD in line with you. Say you need to do two different transactions. Buy the game, get your giftcard and apply it to the DVD on the new transaction. You've saved yourself the time of getting back in line, and you have used the giftcard on a "future in-store purchase."

I assume this is for NBA Street Vol. 2? I've been thinking about picking it up after playing it at a friends house. It's a blast when you have friends over, not sure how the solo play is as I didn't play that part.

I strongly disagree. If DMC2 was anything like DMC, then it's ultra crapola. Man, that game wasn't fit to be a paper weight.
