Scenes for Enter the Matrix offer some clues? (SPOILERS))

(Why can't we correct subject titles? -I hate when I misspell.)

DO NOT READ BELOW IF YOU ARE STILL WORKING THROUGH THE GAME

The "ENTER THE MATRIX" game had exclusive scenes filmed by the brothers with most of the main cast. Seth over at HTF posted them after hacking it. They're not exactly 'required' to appreciate the movie, but there are lots of fascinating character moments, and some are spoilers in that they give direct clues to how the storyline will go in Revoulutions. There are spoilers in here..I've bolded some things I thought interesting (actually all of it is) and one I would want as a deleted scene on the dvd.

(Note: "Sparks" is the operator (Tank, Link, etc.) of the Niobe's ship, the Logos. Sparks, Ghost and Niobe are the only crewmembers.)

FMV 1: Sparks and Ghost discuss Niobe's decision to go after the 'package' left in a post office. The package is the same parcel that that gal from 'Final Flight' dropped into the mailbox before...dropping dead.

FMV 2: The package is a disc. On it is Thaddeus (captain of the Osiris) describing the oncoming army of Sentinels. The ones that destroyed the poor ship. Niobe sends the disc to Commander Lock. He tells her to begin a recall of all ships to Zion.

FMV 3: After rescuing their pal Axel (one of Soren's crew), Ghost scans out of the matrix before Niobe is harrassed by a subway stranger. "72 hours...that's exactly how long Zion lasted LAST time..." The guy calls himself a 'spectator enjoying the ride' before wandering away.

FMV 4: Niobe and Ghost show up at the meeting from the beginning of TMR. "Has everyone arrived?" asks Niobe. "All but the Nebuchadnezzar..." She replies "It figures...." It's at this point that Niobe explains about the incoming Sentinel threat. (That whole massive Sentinel sequence is played here.) The captains and crew all scramble to subterranean exits when the guy at the front door yells "Agents!"

FMV 5: Niobe, Ghost and The Keymaker enter a 'backdoor hallway', and there's a little interesting backstory here between The Moravingian and The Keymaker. Niobe is about to receive a key (intended for Neo) from The Keymaker when the two 'werewolf' henchmen show up and grab the key. N & G are told that these two dolts could "bring about the end of everything" unless the key is taken back from them.

FMV 6: Niobe meets Persephone while searching for Ghost. P offers N help in finding her friend, but asks for something in return: a kiss. Niobe offers to shoot her in the kneecaps instead before a very interesting exchange:

P: You're not afraid to kiss a woman are you?

N: You're not a woman. You're not even human.

Then there's the weak peck on the lips similar to what Neo offered, and THEN comes the moment that makes this game worth 50 bucks plus tax: a KISS. Not just for the lingering liplock is this a great scene. Persephone is a fascinating character, and her actions here (almost directly) mirror her later conversation with Neo.

FMV 7: We get another look at the very WHITE "Zion Control Station" as Niobe and Ghost pilot their ship (the Logos) back into Zion. Short scene, but offers some vague feelings about the animosity between Morpheus and Lock (whose first name is Jason - dunno if that's mentioned in the film).

FMV 8: Lock and Niobe spend a moment at her place right after she docks the Logos. They discuss insubordination (sidetracking to rescue Soren and Axel's ass; Morpheus' defiance) and how Morpheus gives people hope and is therefore VERY important to humanity's cause. Before Lock leaves, he asks Niobe if they can get together later that night after the Gathering. She says 'of course', but it's clear she has conflicted feelings.

FMV 9: Seraph is thanked by The Oracle (played by a different actress!) for coming to her aid so quickly. He then battles another captain(?) (he was in the movie; he was the one who offered to stay behind so he could see Lock's reaction). Then we see the scene where Smith replicates himself from the guy holding the phone.

THEN we see a post-coital(?) scene between Lock and Niobe in which he explains his plan of using ALL their ships to power up a massive EMP charge. He also explains how the Logos will be sitting this mission out, because he loves Niobe and (essentially) he's playing favorites. THEN we see Niobe volunteer to go find Neo/Morpheus. Lock's turn-and-glower has a little more weight to it now. Then we get to see Niobe chatting with Link (from the movie) asking where Neo is. "Follow the sirens" Link says. (Then comes a fun driving game sequence in which Niobe and Ghost must GET BEHIND the speeding truck - so they can catch Morpheus when he falls.)

FMV 10: A weird (and very short) scene in which Sparks asks Ghost (over the phone) for his 'personal processing unit'.

FMV 11: Begins with a scene from the movie: Morpheus lands on Niobe's car. He lleeeaaappppsss back onto the truck, kicks the Agent into next week, and is about to die in a massive explosion....before Neo comes in and scoops 'em up. We see Niobe and Ghost driving ahead to get away from the explosion before porting back to the Logos. It's as this point that Sparks gets upset because Morpheus is now asking for more help. (From the movie: help blowing up the power plant.) "He has Neo! Why does he need US?" - a smart question from Sparks.

FMV 12: The crews of the Neb., the Logos and the Vigilant (Soren's ship?) are discussing the EMP plan, while Lock sits in his control room wondering where they are. We see a quick scene of Bane cutting a THIRD slash through his hand (across the two other cuts - as if he's 3/4 of the way to a tic-tac-toe board on his palm).

FMV 16 Niobe escaping from the power plant and it goin BOOM!

FMV 17 Niobe and Ghost jack out and learn from Spark something is going wrong. Shows the Zionite who was infected by the Agent stepping over the bloodied bodies of his crewmates. The scene cuts to the ship that rescues Morpheus and all at the end of Reloaded, where they detect an EMP has just gone off prematurely. Scene moves back to Zion where Lock is informed that they just lost three ships in the line. Niobe gets a call from the Seraph telling her the oracle wants to see her.

FMV 19
Niobe conversation with the Oracle. The subject of Neo comes up.
Niobe: Then Neo is alive.
Oracle: Yes. He touched the source and separated his mind from his body. Now he lies trapped in a place between your world and ours.
Niobe: Can we free him?
Oracle: Trinity can. But she will have to fight her way through hell to do it.
There is alot more after this about Niobe's role in events to come.

The Seraph escorts Niobe to the programmer hallway after she is finished talking to the oracle. As she is walking out Agent Smith walk in through a side door.
Agent Smith: Damn, not who I was hoping for. But perhaps you could help me find him.
Niobe: You're an agent?
Agent Smith: OH no, no. Not anymore.
Niobe: Then what are you?
Agent Smith: Me? I suppose you could say I am the alpha of your omega. I am the beginning of your end.
Niobe escapes through an open door as agents start coming in.

FMV 20: Spark complains about all the wierdness going on, including the way the Sentinals are staying out of EMP range. Ghost tells him to get the ships guns ready. (The next portion of the game features flying the Logos through "the Real." There is a cut scene that here of teh sentinals firing a homing missile at the logos which they barely shoot down)

FMV 21: Lastly at the end the Logos has to set off it's EMP without properly powering down, effectively stranding itself. Tis cut scene is the slightly longer trailer for Revolutions that was linked off of here earlier that shows the Logos crew sitting in the dark and a few extra scenes before the trailer after the end end of Reloaded.

The most interesting scene in the entire game (anyone else think it was short? anyone else think Max Payne did it better years ago? anyone else think the only good part was the driving?) was definitely the "72 hours" guy.

First of all, was that the guy from Minority Report ("In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king...")?

Also, anyone else notice him (briefly) in the preview for Revolutions at the end of the game?

I'm thinking he might have been the last One... (Definitely not Merovingian... See my post in The Kiss...)

Finished this last nite as Ghost.

It was similar to what Hannibal posted, except that they make it seem as if Ghost has romantic feelings about Trinity. [or Niobe?]

It's never really clear...

Ghost feelings are more for Niobe. since they are partners and he does seem to have feelings for her. It makes more sense to be Niobe then trinity. one hell of a cool game with the scenes that help add to the movie a great deal.. My only complaint.. stupid vampires. I found it annoying and felt I was playing Buffy or something

Let's not speak about Buffy right now..i'm still sorting out my feelings about the series finale..

On another note...are you sure it's Niobe? I can't remember if it's when he's talking to the Oracle or not..but he says something to the effect of "My feelings are as strong for her as hers are for someone else.." [or something like that..] Which I understood as Trinity's feelings for Neo. I don't think Niobe & Lock are that serious. I get the feeling Lock is serious about Niobe, but not vice versa..

Lock and Niobe might not be serious.. but you have to think of it as Niobe and a potential hook up with Morpheus.

According to the movie, Morpheus and Niobe used to date. Then she dumped him, probably about the same time he got all "religious" and started babbling about that damned prophecy. (Who wouldn't dump him at that point for a sane, anchored guy?) In the movie we see Morpheus trying to "win her back", but not all that successful... However, in Niobe's Persephone scene we are definitely told that she doesn't love Lock, she loves "someone else", who we all know is Morpheus.
