IMHO,
It's unfortunate that John Wayne & Clint Eastwood never co-starred in a film together.
I'm a fan of both actors and of Western films; I wish they would have worked together at some point (preferably in a Western).
and.........

Though I don't quite see Wayne as the swashbuckling type, perhaps they could have collaborated on a WWII film.
What are your choices (also, current actors who have yet to work together, or on-screen couples, etc.)?

Clark Gable & Humphrey Bogart.
John Huston wanted to cast them in The Man Who Would Be King, but never got the chance while they were alive, so he had to "settle" for Sean Connery and Michael Caine, instead. I love the version as filmed, but I've always wondered how the version with Gable and Bogart would have been.

Sylvester Stallone and John Travolta
They worked together in "Staying Alive" but Stallone just directed the movie and Travolta played the leading role. Stallone did do a very small cameo in that movie but that's about it.
I'd love to see Stallone and Travolta back together again, but this time with both of them playing the lead roles at the same time.

Stallone and Schwarzenneggar (no way in hell I got that right), of course!
I would've said Stallone & Snipes, but they already starred together in Demolition Man and they were a good match.
