Good list.

But nothing, AND I MEAN NOTHING, is as big a cult classic as Rocky Horror. Those people are freaks! There's no way Spinal Tap wins

20, but I won't bother naming them all. I don't think all of these are "cult" movies--I wouldn't include Willy Wonka, Scarface, Blade Runner, Shawshank, Clerks or Friday on this list. These are all pretty popular films, and I'd make arguments for others that are missing as well. Off the top of my head, I'd immeadiately say where's Howard the Duck?

Re: Top 51 Cult Movies according to EW (how many have you seen/own)

1.This is Spinal Tap - Seen enough to say, "Feh."

3.Freaks - Only interesting to see the real-life freaks

6.The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The granddaddy of slasher pics.

7.Repo Man - Okay

8.Scarface - Pacino was hysterically bad, but so was everyone else.

9.Blade Runner - Good

10.The Shawshank Redemption - Excellent

11.Five Deadly Venoms - Wow! 11th place! My favorite of the chopsockies.

16.The Warriors - One of my favorite all-time movies

19.Evil Dead 2 - Not great. The first one was worlds better.

24.The Toxic Avenger - Garbage

25.Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - A classic.

27.Dawn of the Dead - Excellent

28.The Wiz - Yuck

29.Clerks - Bleah

31.Slap Shot - Good movie, but it's been a long time since I've seen it.

32.Re-Animator - Good

36.Showgirls - Crap. Not cult-status crap, just crap crap.

38.They Live - "I have come to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum."

43.The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Demension - Just okay.

50.Faces of Death, Vol 1 - Used to love this stuff when I was a teenager. Now I can't stomach it. A lot of it was fake anyway.

21 out of 51

Honk!

Too lazy to list them all but I've seen 33 out of 50. Not bad.
I only own 6 of them on DVD though. I'm waiting for the release of Freaks and Faster Pussycat! Kill Kill! and the special editions of Blade Runner and Dawn of the Dead.

Um, Shawshank Redemption is a cult film? Ok, it didn't find its audience until video but in my mind that does not make it a cult film. It really sticks out like a sore thumb on that list.

I've seen 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10 (WTF?), 13, 17, 25, 28, 36, 42, 49, and 51

Own Rushmore (CC, of course), Shawshank, Office Space, and one of my favorites, Willy Wonka. Dazed and Confused is good too, but most of the others I've seen I do not care for.
