I just bought a new 30GB IPOD & need help organizing my MP3. I want to be able to go artist (or CD name if it's a comiplation)--->cd title--->songs, in order as they are on the CD. Any way of doing this?

Also what is the easies way for syncing, I have about 50GB of mp3s so I won't be able to hold everything but what is the method that everyone is using.

Thanks

Are you using Musicmatch? Just right click and edit and put in the track number and it should place the songs in order on your iPod.

So I need to update all of my track tags? Also should I create 1 playlist or playlist for each atist. It seems pretty cumbersome & I'm just trying to find the easiest way.

Tack tags? You mean the IDv3 tags? If so, check out a program called Tag and Rename. You can do mass renamings of the file name and the IDv3 tags.

Have not tried this, but I heard about it somewhere and it looks pretty cool:

I use this:

It works really well. I normally don't make a playlist for each artists. I just get there from the "Browse" menu.

Why not try to find an older model 20 GB one? They have dropped in price significantly, and there's not any huge difference between the older and newer models other than some asthetic features.

I just got that one. I'm having one heck of a time getting it to work. :(

I'm having some problems with mine too, when I first put the IPOD in the base it opens music match & I can see the ipod through music match, if I close music match & then reopen it I select refresh devices & nothing happens, sometimes if I restart my computer it fixes it, most of the time not though, my IPOD says do not disconnect but I can't eject it, I have pull it off the cradle, reset it, then put it back in the cardle, also sometimes when I go to eject music match will say it's disconnected but my IPOD still says do not disconnect
