Stripclub Songs

Here we go.

Song that you seem to always hear in a strip club.

For me, "Sad but True" by Metallica

Song that will probably never be heard in a strip club

"Everybody Hurts" by R.E.M.

Coolest song heard in a strip club

"No One Knows" by Queens of the Stone Age

Weirdest song heard in a strip club

"Volvo Driving Soccer Moms" by Everclear

What are your takes?

While I don't frequent strip clubs, I always seem to hear "You Suck" by the Yeastie Girls every time I go to one. The best song to hear is "Girls Girls Girls" by Motley Crue...it's just so cheesy and appropriate...

I went to a strip club once, and all they seemed to play was dance and r and b music which is not my type of stuff.

I've been to a strip club twice (both times it was Spearmint Rhino in downtown LA, which I highly recommend) and they played hard rock type stuff.

"Fire Woman" (that's the title, yes?) by The Cult is a good one. I also think "Sex Type Thing" by Stone Temple Pilots would fit.

Every once in a while I'll hear something cool like Jackyl : "The Lumberjack" or Rob Zombie : "Living Dead Girl". Most of the time I hear that techno pop dance crap or Eminem which almost makes me want to run out of the club screaming. But face it, you don't go to a strip club for the music.

Much to Trent Reznor's chagrin, Closer has become a staple of the circuit.

I've never been to a strip club - but "Lapdance" by N.E.R.D. would be just a little too funny/appropriate.

The song I shall always associate with a strip bar is Bush - Glycerine. The reason involves a really hot girl, some $5 bills, and a candle. 'nuff said.

Agreed. Also "Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard came to mind.

For some reason, when i was younger (17 or so) i always pictured walking into a strip club and hearing Rob Zombie's "Dragula" playing as I entered. In 98 or whenever it was the song just seemed to be everywhere.

So, in 2001, age twenty, I actually go to a strip club for the first and probably last time, and I kid you not- "Dragula" is playing the moment I step foot in the place. I felt like I was in a bad movie or something.

The oddest song at a strip club I've ever heard was Radiohead's "Creep" at a place in Tijuana where a girl utilized a hanging gymnastics ring to dance rather than a pole.

When I went to one in Omaha for a friends bachelor party, one of the girls had some country song, that just didn't work. Not to mention she had no rythym.

The worst song though, again in Omaha, was the University of Nebraska fight song... the girl came on the stage dressed like a cheerleader.

I would think Nelly's "Hot in Herre" will forever be a staple of strip clubs.
50 Cent's "In Da Club" was played a couple of times at OG in Vegas when I was there in March.

Oddest was The Vapors "Turning Japanese" although if you know what the song actually means then it does make sense they would play it at a strip club

So my buddy and I go to Scores in NYC a few years ago and one of the songs played was a dance remix of that 60s song "Bread & Butter." Definitely the weirdest song that I've ever heard in a club.

Now I'm wishing I had paid more attention to the songs being played!

"Round and Round" by Ratt is a strip club classic. If you ever needed more proof that hair metal rules above all else here's reason #78... it works best at strip clubs!

Song that Ive never heard at a strip club, but should...
"Take It Off" by KISS from the Revenge album.

They play music???

Best strip club song is Pony by Ginuwine. Deep slow bass groove and the lyrics are pure sex. Ted Nugent's Stranglehold is cool too.
