Metroid: Zero Mission!!!!!

From The Magic Box:
Nintendo is working on a new sequel to Metroid Fusion for GameBoy Advance, tentatively called Metroid: Zero Mission.

Well.. as many problems I have with Metroid Fusion I love it.. and well.. all I can say is keep bringing me more..

Metroid Prime 2
Metroid: Zero Mission

I think they're making up for the horrific 8 year wait from last time.

Ya know.. one last comment..

With a name like Zero Mission, you think this is going to be a prequel? I just hope that there are Metroids this time. I mean.. if you blink at the right moment, you'll miss the one appearance of Metroids in Metroid Fusion.

I have not played Metroid Fusion (I have CV Circle and Aria to finish, then the old Metroid 2, then M:Fusion), but I agree, it's a good thing. Just like another Zelda from Capcom for the GBA.

Cool news! I havent played Metroid Prime cuz i dont have a GC but i will get it soon so i can play it on my Gf's GC, like i did with the RE games. But so far Fusion is my favorite Metroid yet, it was pretty amazing.

I'm probably going to pick up Metriod Fusion & almost all of the reviews I've read have been glowing... What problems did you have with the game?

Fusion is very linear for a Metroid game, the computer in the game tells you where to go next, and you often are blocked off so you can only go to that area.

It's a tad short too, my final save was under 5 hours, total play time was probably a couple more as some of the bosses are a bitch and took a TON of tries to beat.

It's still a great game though.

Yup.. Fusion is *very* linear. The computer is very annoying, there are maybe 3 times in the game where you really have to figure out where to go next. The areas are so small that if you get somehwere and can't move on, it only takes a couple minutes to find out where to bomb to go on. I think overall it just feels like a huge let down as a followup to Super Metroid.

It's a good game, yes..

Has anyone managed to finish Fusion with 100% in under two hours? I tried reeeeally hard but came in at around 2.5.

I'm just about to beat it under 2 hours but we're looking at like maybe 50% items. I know there's an ending for it.. but is it freakin' possible?! I remember when I went through and got 100% the first time, most of the good shortcuts, etc are only accessible once you get the screw attack.

As somebody who can get 100% in 2.5 hours blindfolded in Super Metroid, I'd really like to know!!

OMFG!! Kraid!!

Holy crap this game is going to kick serious ass as long as they cut out the crap that made Metroid Fusion such a subpar game.

Thank God the Super Missles are back as a different missle and not an upgrade. From the looks of these screenshots, it almost looks like they are totally retooling the first game. Obviously there weren't Space Pirates in the first game, or Super Missles, or that Purple Dildo thing.. but that screenshot of Norfair.. come on! Man oh man.. This and Prime 2.. I love Metroid.

Let's hope they manage to put in both Ridley and Kraid this time.

Ridley was probably the best thing about Metroid Fusion. He was REALLY cool, even if he was the easiest boss in the game.

I've got a video file if anybody wants me to upload it.. from the video it's a pretty damn good guess that this is going to be a remake/retooling of the first Metroid.

A release date? When they announce a release date for Prime 2, that's what this will be..

The weird thing is, the art style in the video is totally different from the screenshots. I want some clarification on what's going on here.

There are actually 2 videos. One that matches the art style of the screenshots, and one that, well, it just looks plain funky. I think the funky version is older. If you go to IGN, they have the new video, which matches the screenshots.
