Having problems installing 8psk into Dish6000; need help!
Just got the 8psk module today. According to the CSR, I should receive NBATV-HD because I subscribe to AT150. But when I install the module in the 6000, it doesn't work properly. The module shows up fine in the SYSINFO screen, but when I try to tune to the HDEVENT channel, the receiver just shuts off and the little green light starts blinking, and then the receiver restarts itself and gets stuck on 'acquiring signal'. It stays that way. I took the module out and the receiver was working fine then. I reinstalled the module and got the same problem. Also when I took the module out, it was Very hot (but I didn't smell any burning). What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thanks,
Huzefa

Had your 6000 already been updated to the newest software version before you installed the module? I vaguely remember reading somewhere that you could encounter problems if you don't "update" the receiver correctly, though I don't remember the correct order to do so. Then again, you may just have a defective module. Have you tried watching Discovery HD Theater (if you are able) with success?
As a side note, I have the exact same thing happen (shuts off, light blinks, "finds" satellite signal) whenever I try to set a timer. Only once about every 5 or so times I try will it actually let me set and not reset.
