Help for Home Theater

I'm moving in about a month. Enough said. My new home will have an extra room next to mine and will be connected by the bathroom and hall. I was looking at transforming this new room into a nice home theater with a new sound system and a widescreen tv. I do not just want a "living room", I want a real home theater with nice sound, seats, and everything. Few problems though...I'm on a very limited budget...It's going to be a rental (thinking maybe curtain to cover the wall instead of painting it)...My housemate isn't too sure about this idea. Any suggestions and/or ways that you have transformed your rooms into nice theaters would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You'll get a better response in the Hardware forum, but why bother with a home theater when your house and planet are going to be bulldozed over?

My first thought would be to get your housemate to sign off on this idea, otherwise it could become a real big problem. But you're a better judge on that situation.

RandyM is right. Check out the Hardware forum. There have been threads about this with some pretty cool ideas, including using curtains. Plus there are threads on here concerning photos of people's collections that also included photos of their setups. Some very cool ideas can been seen in all their glory.

Edit: Found em for ya

I agree with RandyM. I'd invest in a quality towel instead.

Moving to Hardware.

And I'm upset that I was beaten to a towel joke.
