I'd say wait... but thats just me. I dislike large theater crowds and prefer matinee's.

I'd say go. Contrary to Fumanstan, Like large theatre crowds and prefer to go, if not midnight, then 7-9 p.m. showings. I don't think alot of people will attend midnight showings so it should be a little easier getting good seats. Personally I already have my midnight tickets and am going with a friend.

What's a good action movie if you can't share the experience with a theatre full of raging and cheering fans! I hate empty theatres, that's what my home theatre and DVD system are for. Theatres are for crowds!!

Where is the "I won't see it Friday night but another time" option?

I'm going to see it this Saturday night with a few friends of mine.

I'll wait a couple weeks for the crowds to die down.

I'm not dying to see it.

I'll probably go the next weekend when Reloaded opens and takes most of the crowd away.

I agree with Teremei, midnight showings are just fun even if I have a difficult time staying awake at that hour. I'm checking it out saturday afternoon since the nearest theatre doing a midnight show is almost 50 miles away.

I'm going to have to agree. The best time I had was in a sold-out screening of Snatch. Yeah, it's not an action movie, but the crowd was really into the movie. Awesome time.

That being said, I have class tomorrow morning so I don't make the midnight screening tonight.

Count me in on Friday night's festivities, though.

Midnight showings usually have fun crowds since they are usually just filled with fanboys and geeks, I got my tickets.

I'm going to watch it about 10pm, but then I put it together and can watch it whenever I want :) But, we are not having midnight shows for customers.

Nope, I hate crowds and may have to wait till a weekday matinee show to avoid them.

My local theater was having FOUR showings, two at 12:05 and two at 12:10. I went to the 12:10, rushing to get there as I'd just gone to a 10pm showing of 'Spider' at another theater across town.

Anyway, I went to bed at 3:30 and had to get up for work at 6:30, but it was 100% worth it.

For some reason this opened April 30th in Norway. Saw it, loved it.

Went to the 12:01 show, bought my tickets like a week in advance but didn't need to, as the theater was less than 1/3 full.

Pretty good flick.

Went to the 12:01AM showing this morning. Only a hundred people showed up (about 300 seats). The crowd was small compared to Harry Potter, just about sold out.

thanks to all for posting.

i didn't make it, since I, like lisadoris, the nearest midnight showing to me was a bit of a drive. that said, i do like the energy of watching at opeing crowds so i'll see it 2nite.

There wasn't a midnight showing at my theater so I went to the first showing this morning at 10:30. It was very busy and I could not believe how many parents pulled their kids out of school so they could see this. Like they couldn't have waited until tonight or this weekend.
