If these come with English subs, I'll have to pick up a bunch of them.

Also, TONY ARZENTA was released recently in Japan.

well...bad news (surprise??) according to alapage.com there will be no subs! So much for the great prices and some excellent titles.

I have found that alapage.com is frequently wrong when it comes to subs info. In fact, I can't think of a single film they list that has English subs, even though in some cases I own the DVDs and know for a fact they have them. In my experience dvdfr.com is much more reliable, but often you have to check several sources (including actual humans) to be sure.

well....they seem to be pretty consistent with most of the Adjani/Binoche/Bouchez/Serrault....etc. movies.

I hope you're right though (but I also did check cinestore....no indication of subs).

on, a side note Wendersfan......what region 2 dvds do you have> I am curious.

I have the Tartan Bergmans Through A Glass, Darkly, Winter Light, and The Silence, which are technically R0. I also have Persona on order. I have the R2 Anchor Bay releases of Paris, Texas and Wings of Desire. I have Renoir's La Regle Du Jeu and La Bete Humaine, and the Artificial Eye release of Eureka. Also on order (and I should get it today or tomorrow) is La Dolce Vita. I might own more R2 discs, but those are the ones I remember off-hand.

On another side note - alapage.com lists La Bete Humaine as having English subs, but not La Regle Du Jeu. Guess they're not as wrong as I originally stated.
