So what's the +/- on the Yankees # of homeruns today?

Deftones

Kim will pitch another good game for the D-backs, and they will fail support him with any runs. -rolleyes-

And how many fantasy owners put him in their starting lineup on his first outing. :)

Me? Nope! Left him on the DL.

I do think he'll rack up the Ks though.

Hmm. Although, Twikoff could rack up the Ks against Philadelphia too...

I pray that Simontacchi can finally have a good outing. Thank goodness he's playing the D'backs.

Let's go sox and cubs.

Prior going today against Kip Wells, should be a decent pitching matchup favoring Cubs for their 5th straight. Hopefully Sox get their 4th at dog day. :)

I personally think Hampton will get feasted on. The Braves have won 5 straight and are due for a loss, and Hampton is the right man to throw it ;)

FWIW, Cincy/San Juan are having a doubleheader today to makeup for a rainout yesterday.

:(

It's been great to see Kim finally get a chance to do what he can do best though. I'm very impressed with his starts thus far.

I always knew Kim would excel as a starter. You can't possibly blow a game in the 5th inning like you can the 9th inning.

Exactly. ;)

I seriously do not get Brenly's lineup juggling. Finley at 2 annoys me, but a freaking utility outfielder (Dellucci) is our clean-up guy? WTF?

2 out RBI double from Kim! rotfl

Raul Ibanez will quietly be the most unnoticed .300, 30, 100 guy this season.

gonzo gives the lead back to the D-backs w/ a 2 run HR! Makes up for that first pitch fly out w/ the bases loaded back in the 2nd inning.

DarkElf
04-19-03, 02:46 PM
Yep, Ibanez was great for me last year, and that's why I'm disappointed I didn't get him on any of my teams this year.

Prior's gonna have another Cy Young performance tonight

I made sure to draft Ibanez this season. He was a 10th round choice for me in my big money league! -eek-

WTF happened to Affeldt? Why only 3 innings?

I'm getting f***ed left and right in fantasy baseball today.

DarkElf
04-19-03, 03:17 PM
Great, Affeldt left with a blister. GD wimp. Can't even go 5 innings (and get the win) without developing a blister.

Deftones
04-19-03, 03:33 PM
Kim w/ another strong outing. 7 innings giving up 3 runs, with only 1 K, though.

DarkElf
04-19-03, 03:33 PM
Oh Yes! Second straight day the Mets have mounted a comeback in the bottom of the 8th inning to take the lead. Robbie Alomar with the big hit today. 2-run double. Sweet!

And now let's see if Benitez can get the save for the second straight day. :)

Nice move by Carl Everett....he threw an object that was on the field over the center field wall and manged to hit a fan.

Leads off the next inning and hit a homer

A's fans are not happy with him right now.

A-Rod has three K's against Mulder

DarkElf
04-19-03, 04:52 PM
I saw the Everett incident, but I don't know if I saw the whole thing. I couldn't tell if either the object was thrown at Everett first, or if he threw it over the fence without realizing he might hit someone.

Copenhagen
04-19-03, 04:54 PM
Nice Everett just made a misjudgment in center

DarkElf, regardless if it was thrown at him he should have just put it in his pocket rather than taking the chance at hitting someone in the stands.

DarkElf
04-19-03, 04:57 PM
I agree, but that's not my point. In fact, I wasn't making any point. I just want to know what happened.

Even the local A's broadcast doesn't know how it got there or even what it was. They have been referring to it as a "shiny metallic object"

It was so nice to see everyone but Edmonds and Renteria provide such great run support today.

I wish the Cardinals would send Simontacchi back to the Italian League - he has done nothing but disappoint this season.

Prior had pitched so awesome this game. A wild pitch and a ground out later, and it's tied. Sanders can win it with a hit.

Yanks won 4-2 over Twinkies.

The Twinkies are so lucky to get those 6 wins from the Tigers otherwise they would be 3-14 instead of 9-8 for the season.

Angels just beat Mariners 7-6. Glaus made a game winning hit, eh, I mean force error on 3rd base.

Tonight was a Glaus Rally Monkey giveaway. Like I always said, don't underestimate the power of Rally Monkey! :D

Yet Prior manages to get the win anyway. Mayhap there's some magic in the Chicago air. (And yes, I do realize the game was in Pittsburgh.)
